El Rapido - Aguila 79-83 Santa Ana - Fantasmas 108-96 Santa Ana dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Fantasmas' 46 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Santa Ana players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Fantasmas were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Maurice Taylor (198-94, college: Niagara) notched a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 23 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and American-Jamaican David Haye (190-94, college: SUNY Delhi) supported him with 38 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Santa Ana's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard Randy Bell (193-98, college: Dalton St.) did not help to save the game for Fantasmas. His fellow American import guard Sameen Swint (193, college: GBC) added 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
